Make your seeds super.
Seed treatment technology is one of the lowest cost, highest benefit investments a grower can make. Seed protectants, seed priming and pelleting all deliver measurable gains in the form of improved planting accuracy, increased rate and uniformity of seedling emergence and reduced disease incidence via seed placed protectant chemistry.
seed pelleting
Bigger seeds for better results.
Pelleting adds inert materials to the seed to increase its weight and size. Having seed pellets of uniform size improves plantability and allows for precise metering, spacing and depth of seed placement in the field.
-
SeedPellOur standard pellet, designed to achieve full seed roundness for accurate planting.
-
SeedPell LightA seed coated in a smaller amount of material than SeedPell. The coating buildup process is stopped before the seed has attained full roundness. This treatment allows improved seeding accuracy, whilst still promoting fast and uniform emergence.
-
SeedPell Light ParsnipThis coating has been specifically developed to treat awkwardly shaped parsnip seeds. SeedPell Light Parsnip uses a proprietary blend of coating powders and binding agents to ensure a smooth oval finish.
-
SeedPell PlusA heavier pellet for use in areas of low fertility, or newly out of pasture situations. SeedPell Plus contains a unique blend of starter fertilisers and beneficial microbes to aid seedling establishment.
-
EnviroPellAn AsureQuality certified organic seed coating, utilising a naturally occurring, mined blend of clays. EnviroPell can be used with most types of vegetable seed.
-
FilmCoatingA thin polymer material that bonds combinations of colour, plant protectant products, and/or biostimulants to the seed. The outer later containing the colour encapsulates any chemical with the seed, offering a clean dust free product, offering improved handler safety. This form of seed treatment results in only a very small weight buildup and largely maintains the original shape of the seed.
-
SeedPrimeSeed Enhancement's proprietary seed priming process increases the rate and uniformity of seedling emergence in the field. The seed is hydrated to a predetermined level where the metabolic processes that control germination are initiated. Controlled hydration prevents radicle emergence and allows the seed to be dehydrated without damage.
-
SteepingA treatment for deep-seated, seed-borne fungal diseases, such as Phoma, designed to improve germination on crops such as beets.
-
Seed Applied Chemistrysomething about seed applied fungicides????
-
CombinationsSeed Enhancement seed treatments can be used as standalone products or in combination. For example, seeds can be primed, pelleted and have protectant chemistry added. Our agronomists will work with you to formulate the right combination for your crop.
our process
Quality in, quality out.
Seed Enhancement's is dedicated to providing growers with best-in-class seed treatments backed by a rigorous QC processes
01
Pre-treatment anyalysis
The first step is to conduct a germination test and assess the seeds’ suitability for pelleting and any other treatments requested. For testing, seed must be:

-
free from spoilage or contamination
-
stored in cool and dry conditions
-
free of rodent or insect damage
-
not strong smelling
-
able to be identified by lot #, variety etc
-
horticultural seed must have a minimum germination of 85%
-
no non-standard chemical use

For seed being analysed for priming, we conduct further priming classification tests to determine the necessary level of hydration for the seed lot and how the seed lot will perform post priming.

If the seed lot is not suitable for treatment, we will work with you to put contingency plans in place.
02
Seed Processing
Quality control monitoring is implemented at key stages of the seed processing to ensure consistent production standards.
03
Post Production Quality Control & Assurance
We keep a sample of every seed lot treated in our facility and regularly perform seed lot analysis to internationally-validated standards. Batch storability and performance information is available on request and we can offer guidance on how long treated seed should be stored based on the characteristics of the individual seed lot.
