Cropstock 2026 brought together growers, seed companies, and industry partners for a day of variety trials and discussion in Pukekohe.

Last Wednesday Seed & Field hosted our inaugural variety field day; Cropstock 2026, at the Te Ahikawariki demo farm in Pukekohe, New Zealand.

It was fantastic to see such a strong turnout from across the vegetable industry. Growers, seed companies, and industry partners joined us to walk through trials showcasing brassica, iceberg lettuce, baby leaf spinach, sweet corn, and onion varieties, with all major seed companies represented. We also took the opportunity to showcase a number of agronomic trials and results from our R&D work over the past couple of seasons.

The plots sparked plenty of discussion around variety performance, maturity, and suitability for New Zealand growing conditions, and showcased Seed & Field’s commitment to supporting growers with real-world agronomic trial results and variety selection advice.

A big thank you to everyone who attended, and to the companies that supported the trials.

Based on the feedback from the day, we’re looking forward to building on this and growing CropStock into an even bigger event for the industry in the future.
